CHRISTMAS

Christmas to me is a time were your family should get together and put all your differences aside and have a merry Christmas. I also think it is a time to have fun and enjoy. What I would like for my family to do is that I would like for my family not to fight. My family traditions are that we wake up in the morning and we will open half of our presents and then at the end of the day we will open the rest of the presents. I would like to travel somewhere but we only go to our Tia's and tio's house. We also go to my moms best friends house. It is fun during Christmas time. I would like to see the new movie. Alvin and the Chimpmunks, the sqiukwall. That looks like a good movie.

Today we went to see the Toros play basketball. It was so fun. This is the first time that I have went to a basketball game in school. This is the first basketball game period. I liked the game. There were cheerleaders there I did not like some of them because short short dresses first then short short shorts. I really would like to do that again. It was better because it was during school hours and we missed a lot of our classes. I would like to have more field trips during the day like this one. I really had fun at the game today exspecially because we got to sit with our friends at the game and we didn't have to sit in our groups. I really liked it also because we got to go to the concession stands and buy something. But the bad thing is that at the end they lost the game. But it was also funny because the teachers were yelling like they have never yelled before. It was very FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

New York Visitors

New York Visitors

Yesterday we had visitors from New York. They came and talked to us on how we can make our game more interesting and also how to make the math concept come out. They also gave us more ideas for our game. They called some other people from New York so that we can talk to them, While we are doing our presentation. While the four people were up there telling the whole class and the visitors about there game the people who were on the phone were also listening. After the first person did her presentation for her game Rachel (aka visitor) told the person that was doing the presentation some ideas that she can add and some other ideas that she can redo. Also after Rachel pitched some ideas the people on the phone gave some ideas to the presenter. After that three more people went up to the computer and shared about there game. The same thing that the visitors did with the first they did with the second, third , and fourth. I can understand what Rachel told the presenter, and whats he told her I connected to my game and then I thought about ideas I can use to make my game better. I did not go up to the computer , but what they told the other people about there game I connected to my game and then I started to think about more ideas.

Now that the visitors came I can understand more about making the game and the concept of it. Now that the visitors have came I have more excitement on making the game. Also now that they have came I feel that making the game wont be so hard after all.

What I have learned and enjoyed about making your game? What is the most exciting thing about as you start making your game.What I have learned so far this week is that making a game doesn't look so hard if you don't make it look hard. I have enjoyed that I have learned a lot.What is most exciting for me is that I get to make my own game. I a also excited because it is so cool for us to make our own game. I am also excited about that I can play my own game and I can teach my sisters and my brother. I would like to learn more about the game and how to make it. i am very excited to be making a game.

Thanksgiving break

On Thanksgiving I am going to eat Turkey,Stuffing,and others. I cant wait to see my favorite cousins Jesse,Joel, and John Paul. They are coming over to have Thanksgiving with us. I also cant wait to see my Tia Joann. She is so awesome!! Honestly I don't know what we are eating for Thanksgiving. We are going to watch the Texas Longhorn game. My dad loves the Texas Longhorns. I do to. Also my other cousins are coming they are awesome to. There names are Vanessa,Chris, and Nicholas. We are supposed to play game like kickball, football, and all kinds of other games. I cant wait till Thanksgiving!!! I am going to help my mother and grandmother cook the food. I like to cook the turkey and the stuffing. It is always fun to me on Thanksgiving. Well ad least sometimes. Also sometimes Thanksgiving ends bad, but it is still cool.

Importance of following directions

DIRECTIONS

I think following directions is important because if you do not follow directions while being instructed you might get hurt if it is something serious,also you will get in trouble. It is also important because if you don't and the thing you are getting instructed on is for a grade you can get a bad grade because you do not know what to do. I also know that it is important because the teacher are person who is giving you directions is giving his/her time to instruct you. It is also important because you need to respect the teacher,parent,and whoever else is instructing you. It is important to follow the rules so you will not get in trouble. It is also important for adults to follow directions adults are a bigger version of children when it comes to following directions. It is also important to follow instructions because it might be a situation were someone can get killed or severely hurt. That is the reason why following and listening to directions is important to adults and children.

What I Learned

What I learned so far this week is how to erase things from your mini-game. I have also learned more vocabulary words. Also how to do lots of other things. I have also learned a lot about how to start to create my mini-game. I would also like to learn more vocabulary words. I feel that action scripting is fun to do but it sounds like a lot of work. I hope to learn more about making mini-games. My struggles are having to try and listen when everyone is talking. I think acton scriptting is cool. I think Red Ribbon Week is a good way to have a memory of Enrique Camarena (aka KiKi). I think being drug free is important because if you are not drug free you will not succeed. I also think a red ribbon is another way to keep memory of KiKi. I also think that being drug free is important because if you are you an stay fit, help others who are not drug free become drug free. I will help people who are not drug free become drug free. My grandparents used smoked cigarettes. I helped them stop because my grandfather would always get sick. Being drug free is important for my future because if I do not stay drug free I can get sick , and I will not succeed in my life.I think KiKi is a hero because he did try to stop drugs. If he were still alive he would be famous.I would of liked to meet KiKi Camarena. It would of been a great honor. I would like to make a difference to the world by helping stop drugs.

TECHNOLOGY

I feel I am doing good in this class with following the directions and staying on task. I feel I am having troubles with all of the passwords that we have and me having to remember them , first I have the one I need I my head then I end up forgetting it. I am frustrated by all of the things about the mini-game and how you need to follow every step, I am frustrated with it because Mrs.Miller goes fast when we need to follow every step. I think I will get a better understanding of the class by asking Mrs. Miller to slow down every once and a while when I need help. Then with the password remembering , I can get a notepad and write down the website, the username, and the password. Then I will hide the notepad somewhere nobody can find it but me. I think she should speak louder and then give us the instructions. Also to get everyone to sit down and to be quiet. Also to not go as fast.

There are different types of game Genras. There are about 13 Genras that are known.

For example: Platfrom game genras, and also action game genras.

My favorite genra is platform. One of my favorite game that has a platform genra is mario brothers. I like this game genra because it is cool to play mario brothers. i like a little bit of action game genras because me and my cousins play lots of action games. This six weeks I have learned lots of hard vocabulary words like operating system,access time and others that you will see in the blog. I have also learned about how to add a picture, a video, and a hyperlink. I have learned a lot of things first I learned how to add a hyperlink. I think hyperlinking is easy to do I have learned it within a week.It involves a lot of buttons involved.It is easy to hyperlink, because some grown ups don't even know how to hyperlink. For example my neighbor, one day she came to our house and asked for my help because she needed help hyperlinking. Then next we learned how to add a picture. Here is a picture about technology

Casual game

I am writing about a game called it is called jigsaw puzzles. The purpose of this game is casual. It is also because it teaches you to never give up and not to try again. My point of view is that you can play it and it will give you more encouragement and you will suceed at finishing the puzzle. I think the game looks good, it is not blurry and it does work. I think it clearly states the scientific concept. I think it is clear to the user on what to do and how to do it. I think the game works well it does not freeze. I like is game because it can give you different pitures to put together. Also if the shape of the puzzle peices are to hard for you to put the puzzle together you can change the shape to a different shape. I dont think this game needs any suggestions to make it better.

Bullseye

I am writing about a game called Bullsye . The purpose of this game is about learning angle and speed. It has a button for practice and complete is a good way to create a game. From my point of view I think it is a cool way to learn and it is fun to play. I like this game .I would like to learn how to add something like that to a game that I will create. This game isn't bad it is a educational. I think it looks good, it is not blurry at all, And you can play it. It does demonstrate the scientific concept. I do not have that many suggestions,but I do have two suggestions my suggestion is to add a save button like an user name and password so they can save there high scores. Like an email except for this game only. I also think it could use more things in the background for example like more animals other people. Also one more suggestion when you are competing against someone there should be people around you that are competing against you. I like this game because it is fun to play and it is educational.

Why is it important to follow instructions?
How are students supposed to act in school?
How do you feel you have been acting like a College Prep student?
I think it is important to follow instructions because if not you dont you will get in trouble ,and you will not learn what you are supposed to. It is also important because if not the children start to act wild. The rules are important because if something bad were to happen and you would not be following directions something could happen to you. Following instructions is important.Students are supposed to act appropriate. Also they are not supposed to act like they are in a zoo. They should act with good manners. They should help other friends that they have, and also people who aren't there friends. They should not act like they act at there house. I would not act like that if I were some of these children I do not like to embarrass myself and acting without behavior, would be embarrassing myself. I feel I have been acting like a college prep student by helping my friends with things they need help with. Also by telling my friends and other people to get to class.

Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center

My field trip to the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center was very fun. I saw a lot of flowers and other types of plants. I saw my favorite flower a lot of times. We also saw a snake!! It was black with a red and yellow stripe. It smelled a lot like a bunch of plants. Also the plants had a lot of weird names.It was really fun at the wild flower center , I would like to visit the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center again.
